Send an actual calendar invitation (as if you had invited them from Outlook/etc).
An actual calendar invite gets automatically added to the customers calendar, and any edits you make get sent to the customer.
This was a key feature of Calendly that I will need to see on the roadmap soon, or may need to go back :(

Desperately need this. No shows waste time and cause lost opportunities, and frustrate us and the clients.

Any update? Days/weeks/months? Please.

Is there a timeline on release of this feature? My boss is ready to pull all our accounts. The fact the user has to click something additional to add it to their calendar and it's not done automatically when they schedule their appointment is wonky and not what folks are accustomed to. That, coupled with the fact the person scheduling a booking can't invite others is just....not tenable. Love the interface and other features but these two things are fundamentals that it seems weird not to have.

This would be a great feature

An update here would be great. I have a Zapier workaround in place, but it's a less than ideal solution.

Update?

Any update on this? Many of my bookings are no showing because they never received a calendar invite. Crazy that this critical feature has not been added yet.

We should be able to include the meeting location in the calendar invite so we can include the meeting URL when using platforms different from Zoom or Google Meet. Many of my clients are having trouble with that because they don't read the confirmation email, only the calendar invite and they don't find the URL.

We should have the option to include the location to the calendar invite so we could add the meeting url for online meeting. I know only iCloud has a URL field, but all of them have the location field in the meeting invite.

The fact that this platform doesn't send calendar invites has resulted in about 20% attendance of my booked appointments, rather than 95% with Calendaly which DOES send an actual calendar invite. How hard is this? It already adds the appointment to my calendar automatically, can y'all seriously not add the requester to the Invitees field in the damn calendar item?

100% agreed. I like Book Like A Boss's interface and experience but nobody shows up for the appointments, and then they all apologize because 'it wasn't on my calendar.' I've stopped using the platform until this feature is available.

What's the status on this? I'm getting no-show after no-show because "I didn't receive an invitation and there's nothing in my calendar". It's enough to make me think about Calendly (boo hiss!)

This is really urgent! I'm having repeated no-shows because people "don't have the meeting in my calendar". When is this feature coming? It's enough to make me start to think about Calendly (boo hiss)!

Looking forward to getting this added ASAP. Biggest feature missing from the platform.

Agreed this is so important! BLAB emails are going to clients promotion tab and getting lost. A direct invite from google calendar would be much better!

Hi Dani, is an automatic add to calendar still in the works?
Anonymous
PLEASE include a reschedule/cancel link in the invite before your launch this one! It's so important it might actually be a deal-breaker for us.

This does require urgent attention.

I am looking for feedback on the recent change we introduced related to this - does attaching the ics directly and having the invite show at top of the email with standard interface for adding to calendar help the situation? On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being no help at all 5 being solves the problem) how much does this help? Thanks

1-2. Almost all of my customers use Outlook. If you send an Outlook invite, it ends up in their calendar as tentative. Emails maybe get read eventually, but double-booking happens quite often.
Anonymous
Feedback from me is that it's a 3. In the testing I've done, it does show up as a calendar invite for a lot of people. However the Who in the field is listed as Unknown, the Where is blank (though maybe that is my settings?), and the email only includes the option to "Add to Calendar" as opposed to saying "Yes / No" to that time.

My customers are constantly getting confused because we are not on the same calendar invite.

best to have it on top Dani. we have a long success message and it appears at the bottom

Can we have an option to edit the meeting location in the new ics file that is being sent in the appointment confirmation.
Dani Waxman
Yes- this is planned.

That is a must!

We now this has been a big ask. While not a full solution yet we did release today a big update to how the meeting invites work and the ics file is now automatically attached to the confirmation email. In many email readers (including gmail) this will show the meeting snippet and an add to calendar button on the top of the email making it much more noticeable and requiring fewer actions to get it in the users calendar. We believe this is a big improvement over the current process and we do still plan the full calendar integration in the future. Note: this does not work for Recurring Events since each session requires its own ics file. We are looking at ways to improve here as well.

Any idea on the timeframe for this? I've had a few people miss appointments because "it wasn't on their calendar."
Dani Waxman
We hope to have something out for this in next week or 2. It won't be full solution yet but shoudl go a long way to helping.

There should be also an option to include a url for the meeting, for those not using Zoom.
